Snorium — AI Snore Analysis

1. Who We Are

Snorium is developed and operated by ICI Tech Teknoloji A.Ş. ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"), a technology company registered in Turkey.

Medical Disclaimer: Snorium is not a medical device, diagnostic tool, clinical treatment, or substitute for professional care. It is a personal wellness self-tracking companion for snore awareness. If you suspect a sleep disorder or breathing condition, consult a qualified healthcare professional.

2. Audio Data — What You Must Know First

Snorium records audio while you sleep. Please read this carefully.

Audio stays on your device. Sleep recordings are stored locally on your device only. Audio files are never transmitted to our servers under any circumstances.

Audio is replayable. You can replay recorded audio within the app. This data is entirely under your control.

Only metadata syncs to the cloud. Your Snorium Score, trend data, insights, and analysis summaries may sync to your account on our servers. The audio file itself never leaves your device.

Third parties in the room. If another person (partner, roommate) is present while you record, their voice may also be captured. You are responsible for informing people sharing your sleep space and obtaining their agreement before recording.

Microphone permission is required to use recording features. You can revoke this at any time in device settings. Revoking microphone access stops all new recordings but does not delete existing recordings already stored on your device.

3. Data We Collect

Account Information: Email address, password (one-way hash — we never see your plain-text password), optional display name and profile photo. An account is required to use Snorium.

Sleep Audio Recordings: Audio recorded by your device microphone during sleep sessions. Stored locally on device only — never uploaded to our servers.

Sleep Analysis Metadata: Snorium Score (0–100), sleep class (Quiet / Light / Loud / Epic / Noise), breath stability score, disturbance index, confidence score, recording duration, session timestamps. These sync to our cloud servers.

Trend and Progress Data: Weekly and monthly trend summaries, improvement graphs. Sync to cloud servers.

Lifestyle Factors and Remedies: Data you manually enter about factors such as alcohol consumption, sleep position, nasal congestion, and stress level, plus records of remedies you test. These sync to cloud servers.

Subscription and Purchase Data: Subscription tier and status, purchase date, renewal date, transaction ID. We never receive your payment card details — all payment processing is handled by Apple or Google.

Device and Technical Data: Device type and model, OS version, app version, IP address (truncated where possible), time zone, crash logs, error reports.

Push Notification Data: Device push token if you grant notification permission.

Communications Data: Email address and message content when you contact us for support.

Sleep analysis data, audio recordings, and health-related metrics may constitute health or sensitive personal data. We process this data only with your explicit consent and never share it with advertising platforms.

Data is collected directly from you (account setup, manual factor entries), automatically during app use (session data, crash reports), from your device microphone (sleep recordings — on-device only), and from Apple or Google (subscription confirmation).

We use your data to authenticate your account and sync your sleep history across devices; to record, analyze, and score your sleep sessions on-device; to generate trend insights, factor correlations, and remedy comparisons; to manage your subscription and unlock plan features; to diagnose crashes and improve app performance; and to send transactional messages and, with your explicit consent, marketing communications.

8. What We Do Not Do

We do not sell your personal data to any third party. We do not upload your audio recordings to our servers or any third party — ever. We do not share sleep analysis data, health metrics, or audio with Meta, TikTok, Google Ads, or any advertising network. We do not use advertising identifiers (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android). We do not use your recordings to train AI models on our servers. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18.

9. Third Parties in Your Recording Environment

You are solely responsible for ensuring that any person present in your sleeping environment (partner, roommate, family member) is informed that you are recording ambient sound. These individuals have their own privacy rights. Before using Snorium in a shared space, please inform everyone in the room and obtain their agreement.

10. Subscriptions and Billing

Snorium offers a free tier and paid subscription plans. All billing is handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never receive or store your payment card details.

To manage or cancel: iOS — Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Snorium; Android — Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Snorium.

11. Third-Party Services

We do not integrate advertising SDKs or third-party AI services into Snorium. All snore analysis AI runs on your device.

12. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We share data only where necessary: with infrastructure and hosting providers for cloud metadata storage (under strict data processing agreements); with Apple or Google for payment processing; with customer support providers to handle your requests; with financial and legal advisors for accounting and compliance; with courts and regulators when legally required; and with potential acquirers under strict confidentiality for due diligence. Audio is never shared with any of these parties.

13. International Data Transfers

ICI Tech Teknoloji A.Ş. is based in Turkey. Some infrastructure providers operate internationally. All international transfers of metadata are subject to appropriate safeguards per KVKK Article 9, including standard contractual clauses. Audio data is never transferred internationally because it never leaves your device.

14. Data Retention

Account data is retained for the duration of your account plus 3 years after deletion. Sleep analysis metadata is retained for the duration of your account plus 1 year after deletion. Audio recordings are stored on your device until you delete them in-app or uninstall the app — we never hold them. Subscription and transaction records are retained for 10 years per Turkish commercial law. Support communications are retained for 3 years. Crash and error logs are deleted after 12 months on a rolling basis.

Account deletion: we delete or irreversibly anonymize your server-side data within 30 days of confirmed deletion, except where longer retention is required by law.

15. Security

All data in transit uses TLS 1.2+ encryption. Metadata stored on our servers is encrypted at rest. Audio recordings never reach our servers. Access to sleep health data is restricted to authorized personnel on a strict need-to-know basis. We conduct regular security assessments. A data breach response plan is in place per KVKK requirements.

16. Push Notifications

Snorium may send reminders to start recording (opt-in), morning score summaries (opt-in), weekly trend reports (opt-in), and transactional messages (no opt-in required). Manage in Settings → Notifications or your device settings.

17. Children's Privacy

Snorium is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. Contact app@icitech.com.tr if you believe a child has submitted data.

18. Your Privacy Rights

You may access, correct, or delete your account data through the app or by contacting app@icitech.com.tr. Audio recordings can be deleted directly in-app. You can withdraw consent for metadata cloud sync in Settings → Privacy. You can revoke microphone permission through device settings. You can withdraw marketing consent in Settings → Privacy → Marketing Preferences. We respond to all requests within 30 days, free of charge.

19. EEA and UK Users

If you are in the EEA or UK, the GDPR applies. Please read our GDPR Privacy Notice at /en/privacy/gdpr for full GDPR-specific details including Article 9 health data protections, Standard Contractual Clauses, EU Representative status, supervisory authority contacts, and 72-hour breach notification rights.

20. Changes to This Policy

For material changes, we notify you at least 14 days in advance. Current version always at /en/privacy.
